Open Ears (open-ears.com) is a platform of ‘chat lines’ catering for lonely people to have meaningful interactions, while providing a commission-based income for our members, who show empathy for those who need a friend (real people, not ai). If you speak fluent (native-level) English and have an empathetic approach to other people’s problems, you can get paid to work from home answering calls from interesting people around the world. The first 2 minutes of each call are free of charge. Earnings and commissions start after 2 minutes.

Do I need prior experience?
You do not need counseling credentials. We look for good communication skills, empathy, and reliability during vetting.
How long does vetting take?
Most applications are reviewed within 5–7 days. We will email you updates throughout the process.
Is there a minimum time commitment?
No. Set your own availability and take calls when it works for you. Just keep your status accurate so callers know when you are active.
What do callers pay per minute, and what do I earn?
Callers pay $0.47 per minute to talk with you, and you keep $0.376 of every paid minute. The first 2 minutes of each call are free — earnings and commissions start after that. When a caller books you, we hold $5 on their card to start, and they only pay for the minutes they use.
What do Senior members get?
Senior members earn $0.958 per paid minute on their own calls — callers pay $1.17 per minute — plus $0.0585 per minute on every paid call made by a member you referred. You also get referral links, a team overview, and analytics. New members can work toward Senior membership after joining.
